The rise of Communism, in both Russia and China, was similar in its focus on equal land (land reform) Within Russia, Vladmir Lenin rose to power promising bread, land, and peace for the people. This was due to the fact that, in spite of industrialization, many peasants still didn’t possess enough land to farm.
