Claim (main finding) Theoretical frame (does it match yours or is it from a different perspective?) Evidence Method used Implications Connections to other articles Critical stance You don’t have to accept everything the author puts forth. Identify the limitations of the study.

Synthesis Synthesize articles by looking for commonalities across articles Repetition is good Identify the “spin” of each author, or how each article slightly differs Organize literature review thematically Aim for 3 subheadings Maximum of 5 subheadings
