Independently (Adverb)
Definition: In a way that is free from outside control or influence. Sentence: You are welcome to work on your project independently or in a small group.

Sincerely (Adverb) Definition: In a sincere or genuine way.
A formula used to end a letter, typically a formal one in which the recipient is addressed by name. Sentence: I sincerely hope that Evelyne enjoys her music lessons because she has shown an interest in piano from an early age.

Conscious (Adjective)
Definition: Aware of and responding to one’s surroundings; awake. Having knowledge of something. Sentence: The patient was conscious after being under sedation for the operation.

Proposal (Noun) Definition:
A plan or suggestion, especially a formal or written one, put forward for consideration by others. Sentence: A set of proposals for a major new high-speed rail link were published for discussion at the public meeting.

Unfortunately (adverb)
Definition: It is unfortunate or regrettable that. This word often works as a sentence modifier. Sentence: Unfortunately, we do not have the time to interview every applicant.

Perseverance (Noun) Definition:
Persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. Sentence: His perseverance with the technique illustrates his single- mindedness The study of medicine is a pursuit which requires dedication and perseverance.

Simile (Noun) Definition:
A figure of speech involving the comparison of one thing with another thing of a different kind, used to make a description more emphatic or vivid. “A comparison using like or as.” Sentence: My grandfather was as brave as a lion.

Suspense (Noun) Definition:
A state or feeling of excited or anxious uncertainty about what may happen. Sentence: The detailed description of the cold weather and many warnings from the old timer at Sulphur Creek created suspense in the short story “To Build a Fire.”

Pessimism (Noun) Definition:
A tendency to see the worst aspect of things or believe that the worst will happen. Sentence: The dispute cast an air of deep pessimism over the future of the peace talks.
