3. Common Errors… Students did not use COMPLETE sentences
Students had trouble adding and subtracting with negative numbers
Students had trouble remembering the definition to RATIONAL NUMBERS
Students left problems blank

4. Test Corrections Guidelines:
Only for students needing to correct vocab
You may NOT take the test home
Corrections must be done on a separate sheet of paper
You must write the definitions in COMPLETE sentences
You must explain why you got the definition wrong the first time
This will be accepted for FULL CREDIT
This is a ONE TIME offer

5. Re-Test Policy Guidelines:
Must have scored less than 90% on the test AFTER completing vocab corrections
Must complete vocab corrections first
Must schedule this in advance
You have 15 SCHOOL DAYS to schedule the retest

7. Review Vocabulary These terms should ALREADY be on your vocab list:
Numerator
Denominator
Ratio
Quotient
Rational Number

8. New Vocab!
Natural Numbers are the way you naturally count. Examples: 1, 2, 3, 4, …

9. New Vocab!
Whole Numbers add the “hole” (0)to the Natural Numbers. Examples: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, …

10. New Vocab!
Integers are Whole Numbers and their “opposites” (negatives) Examples: …, -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, …

11. New Vocab!
Rational Numbers can be written as a ratio of any 2 Integers.
Examples: ¾, 0.5, -10, 0.333…

12. New Vocab!
Irrational Numbers are decimals that NEVER terminate or repeat. Examples: π, √2

13. New Vocab!
Real Numbers include all of the above (Natural, Whole, Integer, Rational, and Irrational Numbers). Examples: (see previous definitions).
