Towards fair digital citizenship and a developed knowledge economy in the framework of the democratic transition

Integration of people with special needs in the knowledge society. Empowerment of women through the acquisition of IT skills. Availing information and data in a transparent way Developing Family Online Safety. Advancing citizen’s digital skills especially in marginalized and remote areas. Building capacity of the Egyptian civil society through ICT Enabling citizens in general and the elderly in particular toaccess to services. Protection of Online Identity and Privacy while maximizing benefits of digital services and facilities. Internet Safety Project - MCIT (Egypt)

7 The Family Online Safety program; projects:
Developing the Internet Safety Content to keep pace with the latest Content development criteria and addressing the family as a unit at large, paying particular attention to policies and programs related to children. Developing Internet Safety Curriculum to keep pace with International ICT content standards developments. 3. Expansion in availing protection applications for Internet usage on PCs, tablets, and Mobile phones Internet Safety Project - MCIT (Egypt)

8 Family Online Safety Program; Projects
Drafting Bills and introducing legislative amendments to laws and regulations related to violations of online privacy and security for children. Focus on research and studies related to Internet Safety. Fostering international cooperation in Child online protection. Fostering Regional Arab cooperation and activating the Arab youth online Protection, Internet Safety Project - MCIT (Egypt)

9 Family Online Safety On The Internet
Keeping the balance between Child Online Protection and respect of Children’s mental capacities and creativity and Introducing online protection mechanisms without infringing human rights and freedom of expression. Urging ISP,s and Mobile operators to adopt awareness campaigns to promote online safety and availing up to date protection tools. Internet Safety Project - MCIT (Egypt)
