Explain things readers want or need to know Appeal to curiosity or imagination

Why Use Process Analysis?
Generally responds to a need for information and understanding. Need may be immediate, practical or helpful; may be a matter of curiosity or desire for understanding. Can be used to amuse or criticize.

Establish need for step-by-step explanation of the process Indicate materials needed Organize into simple, chronological steps or stages Explanation: Appeal to readers’ curiosity or desire for understanding Provide practical need for the knowledge Identify various stages or components; create organization that presents them in an easy-to-follow, logical order
