3 An Overview of World War 2
Use the photocopy from Rowe to describe the next three phases of war after the phoney war. Think about similarities and differences to the First World War

4 Why was chamberlain forced to resign as Prime Minister in may 1940?
The three factors: Military / foreign policy Economic Political Use the information sheet to write a paragraph explaining why the factor you have been given resulted in the resignation of Chamberlain.

5 Why was chamberlain forced to resign as Prime Minister in may 1940?
In groups of 3: Discuss the 3 factors and decide on a priority order for the three paragraphs. Rewrite the opening sentence of each paragraph to make it a prioritised point. Add a sentence to the end of the first two paragraphs that links to the next issue. Be ready to explain your priority order and links to the rest of the class in the plenary.
