Safety in Workplace – risks in organisations
% of establishments where the risk is present *Psychosocial” factors such as stress, hostility, depression, hopelessness, and job control. Work-related stress has the potential to negatively affect an individual's psychological and physical health, as well as an organisation's effectiveness. Psychosocial risks arise from poor work design, organisation and management, as well as a poor social context of work, and they may result in negative psychological, physical and social outcomes such as work-related stress, burnout or depression.

Summary Workplace injuries are becoming equally physical and psychosocial The office environment is a high risk workplace considering available data on psychosocial risks. Home becomes an office for many people working remotely. Economic situation over the last three years resulted in a reduction of the resource available for health and safety Staff awareness has been highlighted by the HSE as a significant issue Although companies develop information to be pushed out to employees the method of delivery is lacking.
