3 Introduction Don’t miss the joy of sharing Christ with someone.

4 Introduction Better still, don’t miss the privilege of leading someone to Christ and see that person being discipled in the fellowship of believers.

5 Flaws in the church today:
1. We have turned evangelism into a programme

6 Flaws in the church today:
We have turned evangelism into an event

7 Flaws in the church today:
3. We have relegated the sharing of our faith or evangelism to a few experts, the so-called evangelists

8 The sharing of our faith should be a lifestyle and the responsibility
of every believer in Christ (Acts 8:4) Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.

9 Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit and trusting God for
What is evangelism? It is sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit and trusting God for the results.

10 Why must we share Christ?
It reflects the heart of God (John 3:16, 17) For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

11 Otherwise people are lost to a Christless eternity (Col. 1:13, 14)
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

12 There is: Visual evangelism Verbal evangelism

14 How can we cultivate such a lifestyle? Pray and be empowered
(Acts 1:8; Eph. 5:17; 2 Pet. 3:9) Ephesians 5:17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.

15 How can we cultivate such a lifestyle? Pray and be empowered
(Acts 1:8; Eph. 5:17; 2 Pet. 3:9) 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

16 2. Be intentional and take initiative (Eph. 5:15)
Be very careful, then, how you live - not as unwise but as wise...

17 Turn every opportunity into an occasion to share Jesus (Eph. 5:16)
… making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

18 Finally offer the challenge/invitation
Ensure that the discipleship process must begin immediately for a person who has come to faith in Christ

19 Final challenge: By God’s grace and in the power of the Holy Spirit I would like to lead __ people to faith in Christ in 2018. Now make this an annual goal.
