Changing Art Attitudes
The increased US influence on Canada’s culture coincided with the development of a new Canadian art movement. In 1920, the Group of Seven held an exhibition that was different from traditional Canadian Art. They used broad, bold strokes and brilliant colours instead of realistic classical styles. The Group of Seven was in tune with the new post-war national confidence
