What Does It Mean to Be a Title I School?
Being a Title I school means receiving federal funding (Title I funds) to supplement the school’s existing programs. These dollars are used for… Identifying students experiencing academic difficulties and providing timely assistance to help them meet the State’s challenging content standards. Purchasing supplemental staff/programs/materials/supplies. Conducting parental involvement meetings/trainings/activities. Recruiting/Hiring/Retaining Highly Qualified Teachers. Being a Title I school also means encouraging parental involvement and advocating for parents’ rights.

How Is Our School Using This Funding?
We provide quality, differentiated, professional development to meet the needs of teachers so they are able to meet the educational needs of students. Additional support persons (human resources) hired: Behavior Management Technician- Roderick Baker Money has been set aside for monthly parent night events and for parental involvement.

How Do I Request theQualifications of My Child’s Teachers?
Title I Parents have the right to request the qualifications of their child’s teachers. How are you notified of this right and what is the process for making a request? Right To Know Letter Sent Home Complete the Teacher/Teacher Assistant Information Request Form and return to the school. Receive a Teacher/Teacher Assistant Response Form within 30 days.
