3 About Criminal History Checks?
What’s The Big Deal About Criminal History Checks? 4 SECONDLY…It’s Our Responsibility
Even though we are not a law enforcement agency, we have a responsibility to ‘serve and protect’ our students. We serve them through our teaching, and we protect them by taking a reasonable level of care to ensure we are not putting them in harms way.

5 It Doesn’t Have To Be A Big Deal
Getting a volunteer approved is a simple processes; however, not following the guidelines is generally what makes it a BIG DEAL. Background verifications must be completed every year! You MUST allow TWO WEEKS for the Business Office to process a Criminal History Verification on a volunteer!! Until they have been cleared, they MAY NOT volunteer. Your campus leadership has access to the list of approved volunteers, so check with them.
