Noise level = acoustic pressure + frequency
Frequency ( tone / sound ) is measured in Hertz (Hz) and describes the vibration frequency ( rise and fall of acoustic pressure ) per second.
Human ears can sense sounds at frequencies from 16 – 16,000 Hz.
We are sensing high frequency sounds as very unpleasant and even
painful. Low frequency tones we sense as particularly loud.
