2—The writer may have failed to write the expected number of paragraphs; some of the topic sentences relate to the thesis statement, but it is not consistent; and some or all of the paragraphs are missing key components (CCC).
3—The writer has written the expected number of paragraphs, all topic sentences clearly relate to the thesis statement, and there are no missing components in any of the paragraphs (CCC).

4. Conclusion Paragraphs
The Conclusion paragraph is the last paragraph of your essay.
It should be around 5 sentences long.

5. Below is how your conclusion should be organized and what should go in each spot.
Restate your thesis.
Change the wording up a little bit—but just a little bit.
Summarize your 3 points.
In 2-3 sentences, summarize your essay.
State your final thoughts.
Leave the reader with an interesting final impression!

Imagine I missed the whole thing while I was reading.
What would you want me to read at the VERY end in order to convince me one final time?
Possible Approach: Connect what you’ve written to something outside of the classroom, to something about our country or about our world. For example, if you wrote about characterization, you might say something like, “The world can learn a lot from Odysseus. If more people were as compassionate and determined as him, the world would be full of successful and happy people because hard work leads to success and compassion leads to making people feel good about their lives.”
