Recap key issues raised during consultation Key changes as a result of consultation Other changes as a result of internal review Civic Centre Draft LTP preview Audit NZ review June 2018 Adoption June 28th (what will be presented for adoption) Purpose: The purpose of this meeting is to present the key issues of this Long Term Plan to ensure those providing feedback have all the information they require. CRMs: If you need the pothole in your road fixed or need to report something else that Council can assist with, please see our support staff now. Once you’ve done that you can focus on the consultation content and hopefully submit your feedback. Format: After the key issues have been presented, the team will take clarifying questions. The aim of this is to make sure you have all the details about what we are consulting on. We then encourage you to get your feedback submitted, either on the feedback form here (show CD document) or on-line at Heretowhere.co.nz

Submissions summary 687 submissions received
116 submissions heard by council General support for: Continued focus of core infrastructure including stormwater More funding for roads/footpaths Increasing community-led resourcing More community assets Preference for modified status quo for rates General support for continued focus of core infrastructure including stormwater – requests for more footpaths, road sealing, rubbish bins increasing community-led resourcing – and lots of requests for funding for organisations, new facilities, and requests for more building maintenance more community assets such as walking and cycling tracks modified status quo for rates – issue with accommodation providers and high value coastal properties

Audit New Zealand onsite last and this week Good interim hot review in January on CD and supporting documents This means simplified review for final audit Verbal clearance date 18th June Draft audit opinion due 22nd June Final opinion date 28th June
