6th Grade Math 6th grade math reinforces
mathematical concepts and introduces skills that are essential. Concepts, procedures, and vocabulary will be introduced and continuously practiced to prepare you for upper level algebra and geometry courses.

You will work individually and/or in groups Project One project per quarter will be assigned The project will generate multiple grades Computer i-ready Program will be assigned Discovery Education Program will be assigned Tests Will be announced in advance A review will be given Quizzes Will be given regularly

Discipline You are expected to follow the rules so that everyone has the opportunity to learn. Disruptive behavior will result in removal from class A log of behavioral and uniform infractions are recorded Three infractions in the same category will result in an afterschool detention

Snack Time Agenda NO CANDY NO GUM CHEWING! Healthy Snack Only Water
All assignments are to be recorded in the agenda and brought home daily.

Electronic Devices Use of cell phones during school hours are prohibited Cell phones should be off and in your backpack out of sight

Excused Absences You have two days to make up the assignment for every day missed If the assignment was given before the absence, it is due when you return If a test date is scheduled before the absence, you will need to take it on that date ALL TESTS NEED TO BE MADE UP AT 7:30AM See Ms. Katia to schedule it
