7. General Information about Levels
Dual Credit
Dual Credit students earn both high school credit and college credit for specific high school courses; specific entry requirements must be met before enrolling in a dual credit course. Students are starting their college transcript. This is also a weighted class.
Honors
Students may be classified as Honors students but not be dually enrolled with Angelo State for DC. These students do receive the weighted GPA point.
Regular-level
The curriculum, content, and state TEKS (learning objectives) for the course are completed at grade level.
Pre-AP/AP
The curriculum and learning objectives are created by CollegeBoard, a national organization also responsible for the design of the SAT. Advanced Placement students have the potential to earn possible college credit by taking AP exam in the spring. This is a weighted class.
