Bilateral cooperation: 70 countries and 570 projects in year 2003 (between two institutions)
Slovenia strives to establish a higher level of institutionalised bilateral cooperation with states considered Slovenia’s most important partners, and redirect bilateral cooperation to multilateral or regional joint R&D projects contributing to ERA
Focus on EU countries, neighbouring countries (TRICO initiative), non-European highly developed countries
Special attention paid to Westeren Balkan (ERA WESTBALKAN)
