Warm-Up Get out the origin myth you wrote yesterday and put your name on it. I will collect momentarily. Let’s name 5 things to look for when analyzing syntax. Think-Pair-Share: WHY should we analyze an author’s syntax? How does it affect the text?

Today’s Agenda Read explorer narratives in textbook (pgs. 47-54)
With your group, discuss and answer questions 1-5 on pg Your group needs to submit 1 paper with the written answers. Each answer should include a quote that proves your answer. Each group will be assigned a section to analyze for syntax and language Once each table has shared with the class, each individual will write a claim-cite-clarify paragraph that describes the syntax and explains its effect on the text. (How does the sentence structure “match” the text?)
