1 Applied Leadership Experience
By: Melissa Norwood

2 What is Leadership? Is a process whereby an individual influences a group of individuals to achieve a common goal.

3 Halloween Bazaar All the clubs will compete for the best table in the main hallway. Or to be civil you do your best to find a club you get along with and ask them to help you get a table. Whether you have to compromise with another club to not chose that same spot, which does not always work out especially with Photography club. I spent one day doing nothing but keeping one of my Psychology girls from bickering with one of the Photography girls by playing mediator for our two clubs trying to find common ground in which both groups could be satisfied. Five hours over a two day time span.

4 Fall Fest Fall Fest with the Psychology Club at TCC is a tradition that we participate in every year since it began. It is monitored very closely to make sure it is safe and does not get out of hand. It is a way for the community to come together in a safe environment for food, fun, candy, contest and to get to know each other while in line or walking around. Only students who are members of a club/organization are able to sign up. For the full effect and to know the work that goes into it there is the hour set up, two hour operation and half hour clean up. It hurts more to see all the hard work be taken down than to have fun putting up your own and helping others set theirs up as well.

5 What is Charisma? A special personality characteristic that gives a person superhuman or exceptional powers and is reserved for a few, is of divine origin and results in the person being treated as a leader (Weber,1947)

6 Arlington Life Shelter Banquet
I had to step up while our advisor was busy trying to find the janitor after locking his keys in his office. Keeping everyone calm and rational was the best move. They needed to stay occupied so that they could keep their minds off of what was happening upstairs. I got them to sing Christmas carols as we were finishing setting up tables and games. They seemed to enjoy themselves for a little while and it made the time go by faster. The Psychology club is a source of perpetual entertainment for the other clubs and students at that campus. Spending an hour of set up with my friends, about three hours at the event and an hour to take it all down was a wonderful night.
