HOW to process IID EXEMPTIONS

3. SELECT which vehicle to add exemption to.
Click on MAINTAIN VEH EXEMPTIONS

4. Click on SELECT NEW VIOLATION

5. Double Click to Select Violation OR highlight violation then click on Select
If more than 1 violation appears, verify which violation to select from the Vehicle Exemption form.

6. Enter EXEMPTION Date.
SAVE then CLOSE

7. CUSTOMER VEHICLE LIST will reflect an exemption has been recorded for a vehicle.
CLOSE window and continue processing.

8. SUMMARY
Courts are to submit Exemption forms directly to Vehicle Record Section.
BUT
A customer may still bring the MV3617 (ORDER FOR IGNITION INTERLOCK EXEMPTIONS AND REMOVING TITLE TRANSFER STOPS) form to the DMV Service Center
AND
BFS staff may have to enter the exemption(s) information before a DL product can be issued.
If IID information or exemption is needed, a message will appear in the bottom screen of the eligibility window when applying for DL product
BFS staff can only ADD an exemption to a violation which has been processed by DMV or modify/correct the exemption date.
Route Exemption form to VRS (Vehicle Record Section) for imaging.
