seek reconciliation and strive to do better.
Many times, we don’t realise that we have the grace from God to be a saint. Holiness has nothing to do with being a priest or nun, being really old or living a long time ago. Being holy is about living every day of your life for God. Some days we may do really well and other days we may fail, but as we strive to be holy, we turn back to God, seek reconciliation and strive to do better.
5
He gives us the grace to be holy.
Being holy begins with the little things in your life: being kind to your friends and strangers, praying, attending Mass for example. If you go to heaven, you are a saint. God wants us all to be saints; we are all called to holiness. We are all called to learn to fall in love with God and to seek and follow His will. He gives us the grace to be holy.
6
Thinking about what you have just heard, pause for a moment and think about what you could do, or stop doing, in your life to become more holy. What could you do so that God will say to you “well done good and faithful servant”?
7
We ask Mary, the most famous of all the saints, to pray for us:
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of death. Amen.
