1 Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy place. Daniel 9:24 (NASB) 70 Six-fold purpose of seventy weeks: To finish the transgression To make an end of sin To make atonement for iniquity To bring in everlasting righteousness To seal up vision and prophecy To anoint the most holy place

2 So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress. Daniel 9:25 (NASB) 70 Decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem Jerusalem built again? 69 Messiah the Prince 7 445 B.C. ? 69 x 7 = 483 years 483 x 360 = 173,880 days 173,880 ÷ = 476 years = 31 A.D. There is no 0 B.C., so must add 1 year 32 A.D.

3 Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. 6 In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom
Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.” Revelation 11:15 (NASB) In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever. Daniel 2:44 (NASB) Then I heard something like the voice of a great multitude and like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying, “Hallelujah!
