9. Water can be measured in pH, a measurement unit for acidity/alkalinity of water. pH ranges from 0 to 14, and while 7 being neutral, number higher than 7 is alkaline, and number below 7 is acidic. We used High Range pH Indicator Solution, which can be purchased at any pet shop. Once drops of this solution are put into water, the color will change – purple if alkaline, yellow if acidic. 10. When tested with pH indicator solution, bottled water is in the acidic range. Photo shows the color of the water is off the chart to more acidic side.
