It may be God’s chastisement
The “Soil” of bitterness is a heart that holds on to the hurt and harbors hostility

The “Root” is underground – that makes it easy to hide
Characteristics of a Bitter Person:
Very Sensitive
Has little or no gratitude
Will harshly criticize or vainly flatter
Mood swings

6. The Fruit of Bitterness
It will affect you physically (Heb. 12:15)
It will affect you emotionally (Prov. 15:17)
It will affect you spiritually (Heb. 12:14)
