If you have $15 and would like to pay the club dues (includes t-shirt), go to one of the three officers in the back of the room.

3 Introductions-Meet the Officers
The PT Club is ran by 6 great officers who all help run the club Feel free to reach out to any one of us with any questions or requests 

4 President – Morgan Scheider
Major: Exercise and Sports Science – Pre-Professional Hometown: Winneconne, WI Hobbies: Running, cooking, photography, family is everything  Duties: Conduct meetings, organize speakers, Post powerpoints/photos on MyOrgs

5 Vice President – Alexa Jaggi
Major: Exercise Sports Science  Hometown: Verona, WI Hobbies: Running, Bing-watching Netflix & Cuddling with my Cat  Duties: T-Shirts, assisting club president 

6 Secretary – Kayla Fingerson
Major: Biology Hometown: Mankato, MN Hobbies: Hiking, kayaking, traveling, and spending time with friends Duties: Record attendance after each meeting, organize the MyOrgs account, and write s to the club!

7 Activity Coordinator – Alex Schwartz
Major: Biomedical Sciences Hometown: Oak Creek, WI Hobbies: working out, going to concerts, listening to music and hanging out with friends Duties: set up volunteer events, promote these events and record participation

8 Treasurer – Cody Carlstrom
Major:    ESS Pre-Professional Hometown:   Osseo, WI Hobbies:   Biking, Writing, Cooking Duties:  Manage and collect member dues, oversee club finances, sling club T-Shirts

9 Social Chair – Ellie Rohman
Major: Exercise and Sport Science Hometown: Owatonna, MN Hobbies: Olympic lifting, reading, making art, and being with my family Duties: Keeping the club informed through Facebook, the bulletin board in Cowley, and the TV circulators

10 About the Club – How to be a Member
Volunteer At least two volunteer activities over the course of this semester (includes our annual blanket making) Attend the Meetings Every other week on Tuesdays at 7:30 pm in this room Dues $15 (Includes a T-Shirt)

One of the main purposes of the club is to help the members improve themselves to succeed in future endeavors PT is a very competitive and rigorous field to get into This presentation includes tips from upperclassmen on how to make it through

13 Surround yourself with PT
Job Shadowing/Observations and Call PT’s to see if you can observe them Volunteering Volunteer to help at any PT clinic or hospital in the area Do the opportunities Alex finds for our club! Working Gundersen and Mayo clinics have positions for Rehabilitation Technicians Other opportunities available at private clinics and nursing homes (PT aides)

14 Volunteer Oppurtunites
Sunday, October South Lanes & All Star Lanes 60-75 volunteers needed to help our Regional Bowling Competition (keep score, assist athletes, present awards and help with registration) Morning, Afternoon, and all day shifts  Fill out an attached document on the next if interested in this oppurtunitiy  Saturday, November LWC Fieldhouse, Strongman Competition  4-5 volunteer hours helping with setting up, recording info, helping with loading weights on racks and bars, tearing down, etc. 

15 Academics Research Plain and Simple, get good grades
Field of study (ESS, Biology, Psychology) Talk to professors to see what projects they are working on Can be an assistant or a subject Plain and Simple, get good grades Especially in pre-requisite courses such as biology, chemistry, physics, statistics, psychology

16 Other Get involved with anything and everything
Join other clubs such as ESS Club, Biology Club, Ping Pong Club Talk to upperclassmen and professors, they can help a TON Pre-PT Grind LLC (Alexa)  Follow them on Facebook, or check them out at This group offers tips, support, answers. and mentorship about acceptance into physical therapy school and the physical therapy profession Be a member of the club! We will send s to members with all sorts of opportunities as we get them

17 PT Club Scholarship At the end of the year, we will award $500 to a member of the club who will be attending UW – La Crosse for PT School
