Arc and Chord Theorems In a circle or congruent circles, 2 central angles are congruent if and only if their chords are congruent and their intercepted arcs are congruent. If a radius (or diameter) is perpendicular to a chord, then it bisects the chord and the chord’s intercepted arc.
