2. Introduction and Objectives
Opportunity for Rugby League to upscale the role charity plays in the development of the sport and its communities.
Mandate from the RFL, SL & Championship CEO’s, community game and Rugby League’s charities for the Rugby League Foundation to do this work.
Working under the title of Good to Great the Rugby League Foundation has been on the journey of remodelling its work since 2010.
The Goal: To significantly develop Rugby League’s community through leveraging “New Money/Resources” in a charity context.

3. RUGBY LEAGUE CARES
New charity, unifying existing family of charities: Rugby League Foundation, Heritage Trust, RFL Benevolent Fund, Super League and Championship charities.
Helping the sports’ “family” and broad community:

Grants
Target to distribute £40k in grants to support the development of grass roots projects.
Typically awards will be made of approximately £1000 per application.
