Textbook Adoption Indicator of Success - Formally documented (e.g. Policy, Resolution or Procedure) to ensure the timely adoption of textbooks and other instructional materials with identified resources and the ability to gather process measures and distribute process measures. Also includes late- hire faculty and their timely adoption of materials. Sample Metrics - Policy, resolution and/or procedures for timely adoption; Current Status – Defined 2017 The draft of the policy was submitted to the Academic Senate. The policy has been given to the Academic Affairs Committee. Curricular Review Indicator of Success - Establish a process with resources to allow for the review of the accessibility of online courses before posting. Establish a process with resources for faculty and/or instructional staff to incorporate accessibility at time of course redesign. Sample Metrics - Course accessibility checklist; Remediation processes, procedures and resources. Current Status – Initiated/Defined 2017 No confirmed resources assigned for remediation. Course material is not reviewed for accessibility prior to posting or at time of course redesign eLearning, ATI and Media Vision provide guides, videos, and checklist for creating accessible materials. Web Accessibility Communications/Training Indicator of Success - Establish a procedure to ensure that campus members involved in maintaining digital content are familiar with the web accessibility evaluation process; Establish an ongoing general campus communication that promotes web accessibility awareness. Sample Metrics - Develop ongoing web training program for web content contributors; Develop and implement holistic web training program available to faculty and staff. Current Status – Defined 2017 Lack of a consistent training program that ensures those maintaining digital content are familiar with web accessibility evaluation process and tools Activities - Announcements and training through Poly Updates and Faculty Center/eLearning workshops/messages, Web Dev, eHelp and web sites; Accessibility communications and assessment for IT purchases and renewals via the ATI Review process Activities - Irregular announcements and training through Poly Updates and Faculty Center/eLearning workshops/e-messages, Web Dev, eHelp and web sites. Website Evaluation & Monitoring Indicator of Success - Establish a follow-up procedure that tracks remediation or replacement of documented compliance issues; Establish a procedure to ensure that campus members involved in maintaining websites and web applications, are familiar with the web accessibility evaluation process; Establish a procedure to distribute evaluation results to campus members and vendors responsible for digital content maintenance. Sample Metrics - Establish a procedure that describes evaluation procedures for audit, distribution of results and follow-up with campus members; Execute regular audits with WCAG 2.0 criteria that lists items for remediation and provide to the responsible areas; Tracking procedure to capture progress and resolution of remediation/compliance issues. Current Status – Defined 2017; Remediation process and follow-up not formalized or documented; Inability to track remediation or replacement of reported compliance issues. Activities - CSU ATI annual status report now includes web accessibility performance report which is distributed to President’s Cabinet Activities Cryptzone Compliance Sheriff used for campus website compliance scans Web Dev, ENGR and ASI perform accessibility scans for their areas and work with their contributors to remediate the issues. ATI review process provides testing feedback to campus members and vendors at time of purchase/renewal. CSU ATI annual status report now includes web accessibility performance report which is distributed to President’s Cabinet. In process IT Quality Analyst hired to perform WCAG 2.0 compliance testing for ATI reviews, reported compliance issues, and changes to the IT-supported web environment. Campus website audit performed November Next audit for all campus websites beginning May 2018. CPP and CSU evaluating tool for website compliance scanning
