2 Structure of the SAT Math

3 Guessing Penalty For each multiple choice question you get wrong on the SAT, you lose ¼ of a point. For example: 30 right 8 wrong 16 blank Final raw score of 28

4 Should I Guess? YES and NO You should guess if… Do not guess if…
You have eliminated at least one or more answer choice Do not guess if… You are completely clueless.

5 Raw Score SAT Score 54 800 48 700 43 650 37 600 31 550 25 500 19 450 13 400 8 350 4 300 2 250 To score a 500, you need to get about half of the questions right. Most people benefit from answering less questions…unless you are scoring above 600, you should probably leave the hard questions (higher numbers) blank.
