2. Shore of Tropea
The shore of Tropea` is the beach that is most popular there. As you can see, that’s where most of the people are.
The shore of Tropea stretches around Tropea and stops at a mountain that this photographer is on. The mountain is surrounded by a reef and on top of it lies a church.
The water there is warm and very blue, the sand is soft until you get closer to the shore and there are many rocks and pebbles
This coast is also known as the “coast of the gods” because according to legend it was founded by Hercules.

3. Santuario Santa Maria dell'Isola
Santuario Santa Maria dell 'Isola or Sanctuary of Santa Maria Island is a 4th century monastery on top of a mountain
The church only accessible by climbing up the stairs carved into the mountain
The church has a byzantine portriat of the Virgin Mary that according to the locals, protects the city.
In 1638 the woman in the portrait appeared and warned the bishop about a earthquake. On march 27th of 1638, he rounded up the people who lived there and the left the town. An earthquake hit that day, the people were safe because of her.

4. Piazza Ercole
Piazza Ercole or Ercole square is a small, but popular square.
There is a stage there so almost every night in the summer there is an artist playing music.
There are many cafes and restaurants in the square and this square is home to some of the best restaurants and cafes in Tropea
