1 Year 10 Subject Selection – Psychology

2 Course Description Psychology is a systematic study of the human mind and behaviour. The first area studied is an introduction to psychological research methods and scientific thinking. Other topics include aspects of Brain, Sport, and Clinical Psychology. Throughout the course students design and conduct investigations that lead to the collection, interpretation and presentation of valid data.

Work tasks include practical activities, chapter questions and classroom discussions on all topics covered in the unit. An example of some of the practical activities include: Play doh brain Improve neuron pathways Create a goal and reach it Hypnotherapy guest speaker Practical Reports Assignments Topic Tests End of Semester Exam
