1 The Law of Moses was given by God to the Nation of Israel and served as the core for the Jewish System (Deut. 5: 1-3). Introduce this study by pointing out the importance of the Law of Moses, the ten commandments serving as the core for this first written law. The law of Moses is bad distorted relative to its original intent, purpose, and duration. (See Acts 15.)

Jesus was prophesied in the Law – Deut. 18:

3 Jesus’ Relationship to the Law of Moses
Jesus lived and died under the Law – Gal. 4: 4.

4 Jesus’ Relationship to the Law of Moses
Jesus recognized the authority of the Law – Lk. 10:

5 Jesus’ Relationship to the Law of Moses
Jesus perfectly kept the Law of Moses – Heb. 4: 15.

6 Jesus’ Relationship to the Law of Moses
Jesus taught others to keep the Law – Lk. 10:

7 Jesus’ Relationship to the Law of Moses
Jesus is the end of the Law – Rom. 10: 1-4. Stress how the word “end” (Greek) means not simply the ceasing but the culmination.

8 Jesus’ Relationship to the Law of Moses
“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matt. 11: 28-30). Hence, Jesus sustained an unique relationship with the law. It is sad that so many religionists today do not have the slightest idea as to the biblical prevailing relationship between Jesus and the Law of Moses.
