9 PLACE (Patient Led Assessment of the Care Environment
PLACE overview Patient-Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE) are annual ‘snapshot’ assessments of a range of non-clinical services in NHS trusts, voluntary, independent and private healthcare providers. PLACE review Feedback from users confirms continued support for the PLACE collection, but that some elements work less well and would benefit from some revision.  A review will be undertaken to look at where changes to process and practice should be considered. The review will look at The subject areas covered by PLACE – including the appropriateness of the PLACE questions How the PLACE programme is administered – the assessor recruitment process, paperwork, presentation and publication of the results Carrying out reviews - patient assessor involvement Presentation title
