2. What would cause Disaster Recovery (DR) situation ?
Any number of things could cause your company to need to fail over to DR.
Our goal at PF is to get you back on line as fast as possible with minimal intervention needed from PF. Most DR situations typically make communications difficult so this needs to be considered.

Branch location failure
Server room electrical outage
Server complex fire/hurricane/flood
How critical is OnBase, INFO-ACCESS, etc.
For each level of outage, what is the required deadline to have the system operational?

Do you know what is being backed up?
Where will we restore the tapes?
How quickly can we get replacement servers?
How do we receive files from our Host?
How do we COLD process?
What about Host Sync / Dataloader?
Do we have an alternate location?
Does the alternate location have sufficient power to handle many servers?
Does the alternate location have a high speed internet connection to allow our people remote access to work from home?

HostSync/Dataloader files – when can they be transferred to DR site
COLD – will reports go to new server; will someone need to be notified to make a change.
