2 What is Figurative Language?
Figurative language is language that uses words or expressions with a meaning that is different from the literal interpretation.  Figurative language is very common in poetry, but is also used in prose and nonfiction writing as well.

3 Personification mean Personification is the attribution  of a person or human characteristics to something nonhuman, or the representation of abstract quality in human form. A figure intended to represent an abstract quality. A person, animal, or object regarded as representing or embodying a quality, concept, or thing.

4 Examples: "The wind whistled throughout the day
Examples: "The wind whistled throughout the day." "The leaves dance their  way through the lawn." "The star winked at me" "The moon was resting in the midnight sky." Lightning danced across the sky.
