Today’s Objective Students will analyze excerpts from the Qur’an and Sunnah

Qur’an Sacred book in Islam
Considered the actual word of God revealed to Muhammad Guide for all Muslims in their daily life 114 chapters, organized by length

Sunnah (or Hadith) Compilation of the practices, traditions , and sayings of Muhammad Also considered a guide for Muslims Important for Muslims to follow the examples of Muhammad, considered the best role model of what a Muslim should be.

After class, Mr. Rambis asks Nadia where she learned to be so courteous. According to the translation of the excerpts from the Qur'an and Hadith below how do you think Nadia would respond? Why?

very polite in a way that shows respect Qur’an IV: 86 “When a (courteous) greeting Is offered you, meet it With a greeting still more Courteous, or (at least) Of equal courtesy. God takes careful account Of all things.” From the Hadith: “Abdullah Ibn’ Amr Ibn Al’Aas (may God be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) neither talked indecently, nor did he listen to indecent talk. He use to say: “The best of you are those who have the best manners.” Always be nice and return greetings. From the Hadith: “Abu Dharr (may God be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said: ‘Do not consider even the smallest good deed as insignificant; even meeting your brother with a cheerful face is a good deed.” Muhammad believed every good deed was something to consider. Even just smiling is a good deed Muhammad believed in having good manners. He didn’t talk bad about people and wouldn’t listen to others talk bad about people.
