What is the purpose of your organization? Why does it exist? Why do you do what you do? The purpose of this session is to help you get in touch with your corporate culture. -audience participation

Why Do You Exist? Helping People Find their Tribes tribe trīb/ noun 1. a social division in a traditional society consisting of families or communities linked by social, economic, religious, or blood ties, with a common culture and dialect. Before we dive into culture, it’s first important to know why you’re doing what you’re doing, What’s your organizations purpose. At Meetingmax our core purpose is helping people find their tribes. As we learned yesterday, tribe is defined by a social division in a traditional society consisting of families, or communities linked by social, economic,, religious, or blood ties with a common culture and dialect. Everything Meetingmax does is to help people find their tribes.

These make up our culture. Explain how each ties back to our core purpose? Slipper optional – Make it Fun! working in a comfortable environment can produce productive work Huddle – meeting for 5 min to share with the team any good news, client wins, and frog: daily goal (Mondays – overarching goal, Friday – accomplishments) - connecting with our team on daily basis Gathering Minds – Thirst for Knowledge as we all read the same book and discuss at the end of the month … moving forward in a positive direction personally & professionally Yakima Award – doing something over and beyond expectations, Owning it! Doing something for a client, doing something for the company … uniting our tribe Golden Ebert – Ingenuity Everywhere … doing something different and unique, looking at the situation in every angle and then taking the best approach L&D courses – Thirst for Knowledge … learning to improve ourselves and the company Ridiculously Remarkable accounts – Passion for People … delighting or servicing our clients or partners with a small gift Liquor Cart Fridays – Make it Fun! Gathering together in a relaxed atmosphere and just catching up and keeping in touch

Originated from our old core values Instead of seeing an error message it was more fun to see monkeys and cupcakes flashing on your screen. Monkeys originated from Nine International Monkeys Eating Chocolate Cupcakes – MMX original core values.

Your Culture How would you describe your culture in one or two sentences. Eg: Four Seasons – Experiences of exceptional quality Zappos – Delivering happiness Disney – Bring happiness Walmart - Save money. Live better Looking internally at your organizations, how would you describe your culture to someone who has no previous knowledge of your business. Some examples of other companies and what their culture is based on statements.

Corporate Culture drives performance & growth Gives us a direction on what to aim for We all work towards a common goal (enhance performance) We can make decisions knowing what the end goal is Successful culture is actively cultivated and developed Culture is your unique organisational DNA (quoted from OC Excellence) So why does this all matter?
