Nuclear Fuel Factory
The concession for production of uranium dioxide powder (UO2) is 600 tonnes per year. We manufacture both BWR and PWR fuel.
The approximate annual production of control rods is 200 rods.

Global Reactor Services division
The Reactor services division provides field services for power stations all around the world. The personnel working here are strongly dependent on a correct recording of their personal doses.

The purpose of this presentation is:
- to describe the situation for our staff working as contractors in Germany on field service missions

- to inform about our licensing work with the Swedish dose passport in Germany

- Westinghouse Reaktor in Mannheim is the administrator of the German dose passports.

1. Application according to 20§ Radiation Protection Ordinance
2. Declaration form for the person responsible for radiation protection
3. Letter from the SSI stating that Westinghouse Atom dosimetry service is compliant to the Swedish regulations
4. Excerpts from the criminal record for our managing director and the person responsible for radiation protection

Legal demands on Westinghouse Atom as a contractor
1. Radiation protection agreement

3. The personnel have to be listed
4. Information demand on dose limits
5. The holder of the license shall:
- measure dose with an approved TL-dosimeter
- make sure that the listed workers carry the dosimeter provided by the installation
- make sure that a whole-body measurement is performed

Summary
- The license application has been processed but there are still some issues to deal with before the license can enter into force
