1. Welcome back to “Your Child’s Seat” Thank you for coming today.

2. Topics to be covered
General routines (coming in and out, homework, expectations about independence etc ) all seem fine.
Reading Record books (weekly spellings, test results.) Spelling words will now be coming home on a Friday to be tested the following Friday.
Reading (changing of books, hearing children read etc)

3. Reading Challenge
If your child reads 3 times or more in one week, they receive a tick. When 15 ticks are achieved they receive a special book mark.
The next award is silver. (No of ticks TBC)
Please remember to add any reading activity to the Reading Record Book. (It does not have to be reading of their school book only.)

4. Topics to discuss cont. Planned trips/events
Thurs 1st Feb China Day in school.
Thursday 29th March Cotswold Wildlife Park Visit
Volunteering in school. A big thank you!
Talents? Which ones do your children have? Let’s celebrate them!
PE. Come to school in PE kit….is that still working ok?
Please remember to purchase new kit from the uniform list. This list can be found on the website or PE board in school.
99 Club in Class 2 (new multiplication test in Yr4 next academic year for which children are expected to know all of their tables.)

5. Up Coming School Events
Jan 30th Rain Garden Coffee Morning with Charlotte to talk about the benefits of it etc.
Feb 27th Coffee Morning to provide feedback on the New Positive Play and PE initiatives.

6. PPSA (more help please)
The committee meet once every 6 weeks.
Their display board is as you come in to school (outside as you enter the school doors) should give you the latest info. Photos are going up soon to help with identifying who is who. (board by Rec)
All updates/future events will be found in the bi-weekly school newsletter.
The PPSA work closely with the school to ensure we are not duplicating or holding too many events!
Also they are really trying to push 'Matched Funding’ (some companies have a scheme to match up to £3,000 of money raised)
All monies raised recently has gone towards  furniture and books for the Library and School Lunch and they are now working with Yr5/6 on how to support creation of the quiet area.
