Neolithic Revolution Paleolithic Age- earliest period in human history. 2,500,000 to 10,000 B.C. Archaeology- study of past society through artifacts Hunters and gatherers- tools developed during this time include spears, bows and arrows, harpoons and fishhooks. Nomads- people who move from place to place

Neolithic Revolution Most common early stone tool was the axe.
Technology- ability of human beings to make things that sustain and give them control over their environment Early shelter was in caves. Fire used for warmth, to cook food, scare wild animals. Cave art- most images are of animals.

Neolithic Revolution Neolithic Revolution- change from nomadic life to systematic agriculture (stay in one place.) Systematic Agriculture- domestication of animals, planting crops. Food surplus leads to development of trade Artisans- create items such as jewelry and weapons

Neolithic Revolution Cloth first introduced during the Neolithic revolution. Trade leads to specialization and a division of labor. Jericho in Palestine one of the earliest settlements Use of metal begins- starting with copper, leading to Bronze Age.
