Good news is no news Consistent theme running through reports on students Very difficult to change how many people view students

What does AI give us? There is probably something in the news that needs addressing, health, academic success & responsibility Legitimate – NUS brand and Home Office affirmation Draws attention to the positives students bring to communities People are people, dismantles generalist comments on groups of people Draws attention to those not involved/responsible in practice

How we went about it Real partnership – investment from HEI and Union
Senior sponsor – Director of Services Senior and professional steering group Draw on strengths from the partnership - Access academic expertise – Dr Jo Ashby Psychology in substance misuse (ISM) - Creativity and experience of student officers

Worth it? Success - achieved a high percentage of the available credits Embeds responsibility to SU work Presented back to partners and the community
