1. Revise - Business & People (25%)
Read through mark schemes and examiner reports to find out what the examiner is looking for. Each year they ask similar questions and when they come up again this time you will be prepared.
Hand in or mark your past papers – your teacher WILL mark them. Or you can use the mark schemes online (see previous link)
Complete past papers - time yourself and don’t cheat.
You can get them from the revision station in A12 or online ocr.org.uk/qualifications/gcse-business-studies-j253-from-2012/
Attend after school revision, on Wednesdays 3-4 in A12/13. We will cover a rang of topics but we do not repeat them so start early or miss out.
Attend a lunch time drop in – in A12 every Wednesday. Use the time to revise or come armed with a question/topic you need help with. All Business teachers guarantee to be there at this time.
Produce Revision Materials
- Use your Y10 booklets & revision guide to make revision materials (get ideas from your Pinterest sheet) you can get paper and flash cards from the revision station in A12.

2. Revise - Case Study Exam (50%)
Complete mock papers - time yourself and don’t cheat.
Your teacher will hand a question list to you – you will not find past papers as they don’t exist.
Re – do any exam questions from class that you do not score highly on – you will kick yourself if that question comes up in your exam and you passed up the chance to get feedback or help.
Read through revision guides that are specific to Tom’s Toys and your case study. Your Business teacher will give you this in January.
Practice calculations
Attend a lunch time drop in – in A12 every Wednesday. Use the time to revise or come armed with a question/topic you need help with. All Business teachers guarantee to be there at this time.
Read through example answers – highlight good points that you can learn and include if that question or similar come up in your exam.
