Overview of the Plan Major focus of the SO is on enhancing UNEG’s external orientation through the use of targeted advocacy (UN Members States) In 2014, we set ourselves a highly ambitious work program for this past year: Advocacy for a UNGA Resolution on Evaluation on NEC development High Level Events on the Role of Evaluation in the post 2015 agenda UNEG Flagship Publication Participation in the Interim Coordination Mechanism (ICM) for ISWE Refinement of the Gender SWAP

Achievements Resolution adopted in December 2014 (A/69/237)
Close collaboration with Fiji Mission 41 countries co-sponsored mostly G77 countries Sets stage for new partnerships between UNEG and national partners

Achievements Flagship report ready to launch Enhaces UNEG visibility
A powerful new advocacy tool

Achievements Gender SWAP Evaluation Performance Indicator revised
More practical approach to the annual SWAP

Achievements Pilot ISWE initiative now fully operational
UNEG active and engaged member of ICM 2 Evaluations to be ready for the 2016 QCPR (UNDAF and National Statistical Capacities)

Achievements High level event this week: “Evaluation at the service of the Post-2015 Agenda” High level side event at the ECOSOC Development Cooperation Forum in July 2014 Concept Paper on the importance of the evaluation function in the era of the SDGs

There is a demand for our input into the policy process at the system level Agility and timeliness are key to success Follow up needed to consolidate the gains
