There are many databases containing experimental data collected by scientists around the world. You may ask a question and use existing data to answer the question. For example,
the GLOBE project ( contains meteorological data from around the world.
Earthquake data is available at Hurricane model maps can be found at
Statistics on many aspect of health can be found at the Center for Disease Control (
Many other Internet sites contain data that you can use to answer a question that you have posed. Most importantly, you need to write the question first, then collect the data from the sites.
