Learning Goal and Bell Ringer(p9) Monday 8/20
What are the parts of the scientific method? Learning Goal (multiple this week) I will be able to differentiate the parts of the scientific method. I will be able to differentiate theory and law. Benchmark SC.912.N.1.1 Define a problem based in Environmental Science, and complete the scientific method to reach your own conclusion. SC.912.N.3.4 Recognize that theories do not become laws, nor do laws become theories; theories are well supported explanations and laws are well supported descriptions. Learning Goal Monday Tuesday Friday Thursday Weekly Prefixes

Focused Notes Questions Summary
Read through notes and formulate important questions. Questions are to be written on the small side of the notes. Questions will be posted on schoology, some will be used for quiz/tests/bell ringers to help guide all students learning. Summary 4-5 Sentences Address Learning Goals I will be able to differentiate the parts of the scientific method. I will be able to differentiate theory and law. Address questions formed on question side

Bell Ringer Write the independent + dependent variable Spending time with a family dog decreases the amount of stress someone is feeling. Some elementary school teachers were told that a child’s parents were college graduates, and other teachers were told that the child’s parents had not finished high school; they then rated the child’s grades.
