READING Diaries We expect children to read most nights and record it in the reading record in their diary. Children should take responsibility for this but encouragement from parents is greatly appreciated. Feel free to write teachers a note whenever you want – however, the preferred method is now through class Dojo. I will check Dojo until 17:00 on most evenings. If it is urgent, please phone the school office. Reading challenge – children now have a recommended reading list and a bingo sheet which they can complete. How many have you read?

Homework Every week, children will be given English, maths and spelling homework. All homework is given out on a Thursday and is due in on the following Tuesday. If children find the homework difficult, they need to seek help from their teacher before the Tuesday that it is due in.

School uniform Runwell Community Primary School colours are royal blue, white and grey/black. We pride ourselves on our smart appearance and are grateful to parents and carers for ensuring uniform rules are followed. The uniform requirements are: Black or grey trousers/skirt. White polo shirt or shirt. A royal blue sweatshirt, fleece or cardigan (these can be purchased from Emblem in the town with the school logo). Black shoes or black trainer shoes. Boots are only to be worn if it is really cold and they need to be flat. Sandals / flip flops are not suitable. No jewellery is to be worn except a watch and small stud earrings. Nail varnish should not be worn. Long hair must be tied back.

P.E. Kits – which must be in school all the time.
Please provide your child with the following items. A T-shirt in your child’s merit colours. These can be bought from school for £2. Football shirts must not be worn please. Black or navy shorts. Trainers (for outside and inside use). Plimsolls or bare feet for gymnastics. If the children use their P.E kit for a club, they must bring it back the following day.
