Objective: To solve and graph compound inequalities
Warm-Up: GOOD-MORNING Take out your homework and have it at the corner of your desk for me to come around and check. Check answer key (on doc camera) for the homework worksheet from Monday(self assess your answers) Pick up the “Warm-Up” from the cart and complete BOTH SIDES.

Objectives The student will be able to:
1. solve compound inequalities. 2. graph the solution sets of compound inequalities. Designed by Skip Tyler, Varina High School
3
Today’s Agenda: Check/Go over the homework worksheet and warm up
What is a compound inequality? Activity. Exit Ticket Homework
4
What is a compound inequality??
When two simple inequalities are combined into one statement by the words AND or OR
5
What is the difference between and and or?
AND means intersection -what do the two items have in common? OR means union -if it is in one item, it is in the solution A B
