Why can’t a woman ask her brother for help? Frantling – the mating call of a peacock. Goals –Discuss future goals for this class and life. Freeze and Squeeze. Homework – Don’t forget to study for Quiz # 16 Friday. Because he can’t be a brother and assist her too.

2 English /6/15 How does a writer make a story or poem more interesting? Think about the stories or poems you like to read. If Mr. and Mrs. Bigger had a baby, who would be the biggest of the three? Canorous – sweet sounding. Goals - Work on turning your list into poetic imagery. Homework – create an image for each item on your list. Be ready to work with it tomorrow.

Goals – Continue to learn some tricks to include in your poetry to make it more poetic. Homework – Revise the pieces of poetry for sensory imagery. Show me written evidence of your progress. 4 English /8/15 The things that are in contrast in your life or in the world. E.G. love-hate, kind-cruel, old-young, etc. What do you call a Norwegian car? Piff – something insignificant, a trifle. Goals – Write a series of poetry activities to find different and interesting ways to express your feelings for your poetry. Homework – Select the best example from each type of poetry activity and try it with your own poem topic. A Fjord

5 English 10 – 1/9/15 Five minutes to study for vocabulary #16.
Why do birds fly south for the winter? Noil – a knot of small hair or fiber. Goals - Successfully complete vocab #16. Apply some of our imagery techniques to add more concrete figurative language to your own poems. Homework – Put together what you have so far to make a first draft of your poem. Because it’s too far to walk.
