Only patients with atherosclerotic plaques do not improve after treatment, whereas the other 3 groups (young controls, IMT<0.9mm, IMT 0.9–1.2mm) show significant (&) improvement. The inter-group variations show that in basal conditions there is a negative trend between IMT and NPTRM parameters, whilst after treatment IMT 0.9–1.2mm group has overlapping results respect to IMT<0.9mm.
